Study Finds Early Onset of Alcohol Use is Predicted by Adverse Childhood Experiences

A study conducted in the journal Pediatrics found that children with particular adverse childhood experiences (such as divorce, living with a household member who was a problem drinker or mentally ill, etc.) initiated drinking earlier than peers and are more likely to drink to cope with problems.
